Sustainability initiatives and projects

Sustainable development is about more than reducing emissions — it is also about social responsibility and long‑term impact. At NAB, we actively engage in initiatives and projects that contribute to stronger communities, responsible resource usage, and a more sustainable future.

NAB Community Fund

NAB Community Fund is our largest sustainability initiative and reflects our strong commitment to local youth sports. We believe that supporting youth sports not only promotes physical well‑being, but also strengthens community engagement, teamwork, and personal development.

By investing in youth sports, we aim to create positive and lasting impact in the communities where we operate.

Focus on local associations

Our support is primarily directed toward smaller, local sports associations. These organizations often face greater financial challenges compared to larger clubs, which can limit their ability to maintain and develop their activities.

By focusing our efforts on local associations, we help ensure that children and young people have access to meaningful sports activities, regardless of background or circumstances.

Example: Växjö BK

One example of an association supported by NAB Fritidsfond is the football club Växjö BK, which has a strong focus on youth development. The club works actively to create a safe and inclusive environment where young players can grow, develop, and feel part of a team.

NAB Community Fund

Support from NAB Fritidsfond has contributed to improved training conditions, enabling teams to participate with a stronger sense of unity and professionalism.

Circular IT management in partnership with 3stepIT

NAB collaborates with 3stepIT to ensure sustainable and responsible management of our IT equipment. Through this partnership, we apply a circular approach aimed at extending the lifecycle of IT assets and minimizing electronic waste and carbon emissions.

The partnership covers the full lifecycle of IT equipment — from procurement and financing to reuse and recycling — ensuring that resources are used efficiently and responsibly.

Key outcomes of this initiative include:

Cloud‑based operations

NAB operates almost entirely in the cloud, which supports efficient workflows while significantly reducing environmental impact. By using cloud‑based services, we minimize the need for physical infrastructure such as servers, storage devices, and network equipment.

This approach not only improves scalability and flexibility, but also contributes to reduced energy consumption and a smaller environmental footprint across our operations.
